About Kwacha Kulture

We are a Pan-African technology company building a connected family of digital platforms for African creators, communities, and consumers — culturally rooted, economically fair, and made for the way Africa actually lives online.

Who we are

Kwacha Kulture is a Pan-African technology company, incorporated in the Netherlands as Kwacha Kulture B.V., with a focus on African markets and a global reach. We design, build, and operate a growing suite of interconnected digital products spanning music, video, work, commerce, community, property, and payments.

Our thesis is simple. For too long, the digital tools Africans rely on have been built elsewhere, for someone else. Kwacha Kulture exists to change that — building platforms that feel like home, that keep more value with the creators and communities who generate it, and that are designed for African realities first.

Our vision

To become the primary digital ecosystem powering commerce, culture, creativity, and connectivity across Africa — and, in time, a digital home that carries African identity to the world.

Our mission

To build affordable, accessible, and culturally resonant digital platforms that empower African consumers, creators, and communities — while keeping economic value on the continent.

Why we exist

Africans use dozens of disconnected platforms to meet everyday digital needs. Talented creators struggle to earn fairly on tools built for other markets. And moving money across the continent is still too slow and too costly. We are building a connected alternative that treats African creativity and commerce as the main event — not an afterthought.

What we build

Each Kwacha Kulture product solves a real, everyday problem — and together they form one connected ecosystem.

Umvani

A home for African creativity in short-form video and community, built around the culture and the creators who make it.

Funded by the community

A crowdfunding platform helping African creators, entrepreneurs, and causes raise money from the people who believe in them.

Inkosify

A civic engagement platform that gives African citizens a stronger voice in the conversations that shape their communities.

Kwacha Kart

The marketplace, digitised

A multi-vendor marketplace bringing local vendors, artisans, and businesses online — with fulfilment and delivery handled for them.

Kumwandi

Spaces to rent, places to stay

A property rental and sales marketplace reimagined for Africa, connecting hosts and renters across the continent.

Tengapo

A wallet built for Africa

A digital wallet designed for Africans — where anyone in the world can send money to the people who matter to them.

What we believe

Africa-first cultural identity. Our platforms are designed with African visual identity and indigenous language at their heart — not bolted on, but built in.

Economic fairness. Our products are designed so that African creators and communities earn fairly, in their own currencies, through the payment methods available to them.

Made for how Africa connects. Everything we build is mobile-first, data-conscious, and accessible — designed for real networks and real devices, not ideal ones.
